Richard about the situation in England
3. How are you currently perceiving the situation in your country?
Similar to other European countries - There are a limitations on movement. There is a question as to whether the ‘lockdown’ should have happened more quickly than it did, as reports now say the UK now has the highest death rate in Europe. I’m glad it is summer. I see it effecting people in different ways. I am lucky to have a garden and a park near by. A lot of people have more confined living conditions. People in care homes. Families in small flats in high rise blocks. families in temporary accommodation in hostel / houses of multiple occupancy. There is some effort where unused hotels have put up homeless people - but I doubt this even scratches the surface of that problem. The impact on people not being able to work and unable to pay for food and a roof over their head.
